Yoga Basics is where postures are introduced and explored in a slow vinyasa format. Emphasis is placed on correct alignment and form, and on the foundation of a vinyasa practice –
how to breathe and how breathing can help cultivate ease and grace in your practice. It is suitable for complete beginners as well as intermediate/advanced students.
Hylton has over 20 years experience as a yoga instructor and all levels will benefit. Monthly students may attend for free. Drop in is R108

Working together, we’ll cultivate trust, strength, stability and flexibility to expand your practice with accessible building blocks for creating fun and playful tricks and flows through a well-rounded exploration of elements of: AcroYoga asana, partner yoga, assisted inversions & tightness drills, partner acrobatics, therapeutic flying and Thai massage.

LAUGHTER YOGA with Sylvester Gasana

To face his own life challenges, Sylvester Gasana embraced meditation and a spiritual journey. He then joined laughter yoga for health reasons… to get fit, fight stress, lighten up and spread joy. Sylvester then trained as a Laughter Yoga coach and he leads sessions all over Cape Town. He believes laughter is the best medicine because of the improved blood pressure, increased oxygen into the bloodstream, release of endorphins, improved immune system function, and relief from stress.
Sylvester’s mission is to make everyone experience the benefits of real laughter. Experience how you feel Energised, Positive and Happier. And to your family, friends and work colleagues… you become a gift of laughter.

David Jacobs is an Iyengar Yoga teacher (Senior Intermediate III, certification by B.K.S.Iyengar, one of only 5 senior certified teachers in South Africa) with a diploma in physical education. David has dedicated his life to studying the art and science of yoga.
We are six months old and ready to party! Please join us in celebrating the growth of our beautiful space. We wish to share this evening with all of you in thanks for your support of Hot Dog Yoga, and we also invite any new faces to come along too.
There will be live Kirtan musicians and singers, delicious food, and a DJ.

Mindfulness is a capacity that we all possess and can cultivate. So often we in our lives we are on autopilot. Taking time to become more present can allow us to move through our lives with more of a sense of rest and enjoyment. We begin to discover the extraordinarily precious nature of every moment.
Please join psychologist and yoga teacher Linda Kantor for a monthly mindfulness yoga and meditation session. Open to individuals at any level of yoga practice these sessions are geared towards deepening mindfulness practice and cultivating compassion to self.
Linda Kantor has been a psychologist in private practice for the since 1994. She is also the co-director of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Programme, based at Cape Town Medi-Clinic. She teaches mindfulness in a variety of contexts including the GSB. Linda is also a Kundalini Yoga Teacher and has found yoga to be highly effective in guiding people towards their inner wisdom, strength and peace.
